The Connemara Way

Natural Beauty and Tranquility in the Unspoilt West of Ireland

The Connemara Way, in the far west of Ireland, is one of the very best walks for getting completely away from it all. Your walk will be largely undisturbed as you pass through the "Twelve Bens" and the Maamturk Mountains, stopping at tiny and picturesque settlements where Irish Gaelic is spoken as much as English. The itinerary includes a couple of stops where you can stay for two nights, in keeping with the gentle pace of life. On these days, you have the option to try some of the fine local day walks, or simply relax and enjoy living in the slow lane for a while.

As usual, we can adapt the itinerary to suit you. The Connemara Way is part of the longer Western Way. So its quite simple to extend the itinerary at the start and finish; or to shorten your stay by missing out one or both of additional overnight stops.
